About me

I am a BA Animation graduate from Norwich University of the Arts, based in London and specialising in stop motion fabrication.

I am passionate about creating with my hands, taking inspiration from innovative creators like Jan Svankmajer, often making tactile pieces from found materials, previously explored through puppetry and sculpture.

From an early sculptural piece selected for the annual Passion for Freedom art festival, through a puppetry foundation course at the Little Angel Theatre in London, I continued to expand my practice at university. There, I benefited greatly from one-to-one tuition from animator and puppet maker Barry Leith. And in 2018, I had my first major role working as a Production Designer and Fabricator on BFI and BBC Four funded short film O, Hunter Heart.

Since graduating, I have continued to work on commercial stop motion productions at Clapham Road Studios and on several other stop motion projects for Astrid Goldsmith, including her short film Red Rover. This is accompanied by more live-action production job roles such as being a stand-by puppet painter on Spitting Image and spending three months in the workshop of Artem Special Effects.
