I had a fantastic time working in the puppet workshop on Spitting Image Series 2 as a stand-by puppet painter whenever the painting team needed an extra hand on busy days. During my time there I was predominantly patching up silicone puppet hands with a mixture of clear general purpose silicone and oil paints, thinned down with white spirit. This was a process of cleaning down the hand with baby wipes & IPA, colour matching the skin tone & detail of the desired hand, and then powdering once fully dried down. I also was also given odd jobs like applying SFX makeup to a Latex head and silicone seaming.
